PMB: Chelsea v West Ham United - talking points

It's another London derby on home soil for the Blues this weekend. Club historian Rick Glanvill and club statistician Paul Dutton start their preview of what promises to be a poignant afternoon...

TALKING POINTS

Chelsea’s final London derby of the season comes at a very emotional time for the club. The late Ray Wilkins, though, would be willing his side on to play well and win the three points on Sunday, and that is what everyone must do.
In prospect for the Blues is a 50th win against West Ham United in all competitions in what will be the 110th meeting between east and west. In case any further incentive were needed, the Hammers, surprise victors at the London Stadium, have not achieved a league double over Chelsea since 2002/03, one of the seasons they were relegated.
Before kick-off the champions may already have relinquished the title to Manchester City, who host rivals United on Saturday evening needing victory to succeed the Blues as winners of the Premier League.
